LEVITY
Levity is a furniture brand that I designed from the ground up with the goal of creating beautiful, high quality furniture that is also lifeproof. The crux of the project involved creating a system of easily removable, machine washable upholstery covers that do not sacrifice on looks. The system is currently patent-pending.
The project took a little over a year to launch, starting with a deep human centered design approach. I built, tested, and refined dozens of prototypes using wood, metal, and plastics. I also worked closely with expert pattern makers to develop the upholstery covers to fit perfectly but also be simple enough to remove and replace.
Levity has grown into a recognized furniture brand, featured on Architectural Digest, Domino, Esquire, Apartment Therapy, and WGSN.
